We talk a lot when we cut stickers. Though our conversations can be quite incoherent at times, we noticed that we always ask each other weird and hypothetical questions. Questions like, "would you rather eat only 1 kind of meat or go vegetarian your whole life?" and "would you rather be pretty but stupid or smart but below-average looking?" would keep us entertained for a really long time. As it has been a while since our last Real Talk post, we thought we would bring back the column in our new blog with a bit of fun and lightheartedness! And so, we have decided to share some of our excitement and lame humour with you. Here are some ridiculous 'Would You Rather' questions that led us to challenge our worst fears. We didn't consult each other on the questions asked and that turned out to be an excellent move, as we tackled some pretty tough questions that may seem like child's play to you but involves serious thought from us. Enjoy! Min: Would you rather eat a bowl of red bean paste with mochi balls OR a giant red bean ice cream cone? Jia: What a brutal question. You know I hate red beans! Sigh, I would pick the giant red bean ice cream cone because I am guessing that the flavour of the red beans would not be as intense when it is cold. *sad face tho* Min: Would you rather take part in a '1000 squats challenge' OR '100 burpees challenge'? Jia: Definitely '1000 squats challenge'! I am terrible at burpees! You may need to pick me off the floor when I am done with the 1000 squats though... Min: Would you rather have an untameable afro and eyebrows OR a hairy body? Jia: I would rather have the untameable afro and eyebrows because I think I would be able to rock the look somehow. *gulp* Min: Would you rather be stuck in a room filled with snakes OR swim in a pool filled with crocodiles? Jia: Omg. This is another brutal question with two scenarios that are like nightmares to me! I am not the best swimmer around by far, so, you know that you are basically asking me to be croco-bait! I think I would rather be stuck in a room filled with snakes. If I keep very very still, I would probably make it out alive, right? Min: Would you rather tattoo your eyebrows and lips OR have the same nail design and colour on your fingers and toes for the rest of your life? Jia: Haha! This is a pretty easy pick. I would definitely rather have the same nail design and colour on my fingernails and toenails for the rest of my life. Red nails will never go out of style! Jia: Would you rather have a huge rose tattoo on your lower back OR a tiny shooting star tattoo on your face? Min: I'd choose a huge rose tattoo on my lower back. As long as I cover it up with clothes and never ever head to the beach in a bikini, no one will ever know... right? Jia: Would you rather be in slippers OR leather boots for the rest of your life? Min: Slippers! Any time, any day. Jia: Would you rather eat unsalted french fries OR salted potato chips for the rest of your life? Min: Urgh! I can't make up my mind because both are my greatest loves in life. Ahhhhh, I'm going to say salted potato chips, just because they are so crispy, salty and full of greatness. (Psst, I still love you, unsalted fries. I really do.) Jia: Would you rather live without your mobile phone for the rest of your life OR give up coffee forever? Min: Okay, so, this may not be as tough as I imagined it to be. I'll choose to give up my mobile phone for the rest of my life. I don't have to be connected to the world, but just one day without coffee will be the start of the zombie-Min apocalypse. Jia: Would you rather be supermodel tall but with a bad posture OR very petite with perfect posture? Min: Coming from someone who is short, I will choose to be supermodel tall with a bad posture. I'd like to see how great it is to be tall for once, and hey, I can always do something about my bad posture! - Have you asked your friends some ridiculous 'Would You Rather' questions before? Share them with us! With Love, Min+Jia

Sunday Stickies is a column where we reflect on the past week and pen those thoughts down on sticky pads. Expect notes to ourselves and others, advice, reminders for the week ahead, quotes, and anything random actually. We may have developed a case of Scissors Hands and suffered crazy delusions over the last few weeks but it was all worth it when we met you, dear NTU students. Thank you NTU for your hospitality and warmth (the warmth from the sun was also real)! So. Much. Love. And we feel it! All the best for your finals, NUS and NTU students! Study hard, but remember to eat well, drink up and rest your eyes! :) Also, there has been a lot of excitement going on at our studio this week because something big is happening soon! More details will be coming your way very soon so keep refreshing your Instagram feed or simply join our Mailing List to get updates and sneak peeks. Join us as we countdown to something very exciting. Hint: it's a childhood dream come true! If you have no plans this weekend, you may want to head down to The People Avenue's Pop-Up Store at Orchard Gateway #02-01. We have our items stocked over there, along with many cool stuff from our friends. Have a great weekend ahead everyone! Min: Singapore's weather is really getting too hot. I don't seem to be drinking fast enough to replenish the water I lose from perspiring. Oh, dehydration is the worst! I woke up on Friday morning feeling like 1000kg. It could actually be the Jagabee that I have been eating or it could be some serious overheating in my body! So, here's a fierce reminder to myself: DRINK WATER. Sigh, my constant struggle with water consumption! Ever since my beloved black doggy left me for dog heaven, I have been feeling sooooo blue. I miss him all the time and I am terribly envious of dog owners and their dogs. I 'ooooh' and 'ahhhh' each time I see happy dogs and my heart aches. I can't wait to adopt another furry friend and yet I don't know if I will be able to move on. My black doggy is my best friend and I miss him so... :( Jia: #foodwoes. If I had to create a hashtag (side note to myself: but whatever for?!) to describe my week, that would be it. In theory, I like the idea of sour food. However, I have terrible tolerance for sourness! While I was walking around the food area of NTU on Wednesday, I thought it would be a great and refreshing idea to drink iced hand-squeezed lime juice to cool down, as we have been under the heat for hours. O.m.g. the sourness was unbearable. My bad idea took an even deeper dive into the worst-ideas-pool when Min and I encouraged each other to finish drinking the juice. A little while later, I had really bad stomach pains due to the acidity of the lime juice. I am such a wuss.
Another #foodwoes situation occured when I suddenly had the most intense avocado craving. I wanted to eat avocados there and then, so Min and I snuck out of our studio during working hours in search of some. You can only imagine my dismay when we were greeted by super green avocados at every turn. None of them were even close to being ripe. One word: shucks! - How has the start of April been for you? With Love, Min+Jia. Yes, we have finally created and released three new art prints. It has been a couple of months since new art prints were launched in our store and we are glad to inject some life into our art print selection! The art prints are all professionally printed on premium 300gsm matte photo paper. Let's get this out of the way: we love matte paper. This is why all our products are printed on matte paper, and as much as possible, 100% recycled matte paper. However, do you know that you can drop in a special request to us, if you would like an art print to be printed on another material? We have printed copies of our art prints on super glossy sheets and even a full page sticker! These are by-request only and you just have to contact us for more information, if you have a special idea in mind. Likewise, the Readymade Collection of art prints are also available for print in various paper types! Here are our newest art prints to arrive in our store. I truly hope you will like them, as I had a blast designing these! The colours and energy of the art prints are unlike any we had in the store previously. I hope you love the new art prints! <3 Jia Books, books, books. I am not exactly a bookworm, but I do like to read a lot. I would usually carry a book around with me until most recently, when I got hooked onto ebooks. I am a huge supporter of paperbacks and would usually tell people to remain connected to paper and boycott ebooks. So... I'm pretty much ashamed to say that I love the convenience of ebooks, especially when I'm out and about with a bag that is too small for a thick book. My bookshelves are filled with books and at one glance, you will be able to tell that I'm not an adventurous reader. My reading choices are usually simple with a lot of humour involved. Too much mystery/thriller/sci-fi in a book tends to scare me and I'll chuck it away very quickly. Books, in my opinion, should allow me to dream and imagine a whole new world of possibilities as I love to get lost in a good book. Reality is boring, right? Here are some books with real good reviews and I can't wait to get my hands on the real paperbacks! 1 // The Nightingale, Kristin Hannah This story is about sisterhood, bravery, courage, fear and love in a time of war. Any book on humanity and relationships always make a good read. 2 // The Sky is Everywhere, Jandy Nelson This seems to be a beautiful, funny and heartfelt novel about love and forgiveness, which will appeal to many of John Green's fans because of its similar plot style. I have read some of John Green's books (and liked it), so this will probably be a very simple and fast read for me, but hey, no complains here! 3 // Big Magic : Creative Living Beyond Fear, Elizabeth Gilbert In this book, author Elizabeth Gilbert challenges us to embrace our curiosity, tackle what we love the most and face down what we most fear. Relatable inspirational and motivational books are always a good choice for people who are at a certain crossroads in their lives. 4 // A General Theory of Oblivion, Jose Eduardo Agualusa There are some days when I just want to stay at home and cut off all forms of contact with the world. In this book, the protagonist does exactly that. While it sounds like a brilliant idea to me, I do believe that it's almost impossible to cut away from the world and be in a state of complete oblivion. I can't wait to read this book! 5 // The Strange Library, Haruki Murakami
As much as I dislike mystery, I found it incredibly difficult to stop reading 1Q84. Just like that, I was sucked into the whirlpool of creepy imagination and strangely enough, I loved it. 'The Strange Library' gives off the same eerie vibe as 1Q84 and I hope it will keep me hooked! 6 // Me Before You, Jojo Moyes I won't deny my love for love stories, even though most of them are extremely cheesy and set in the same plot. Bring on the love-hate relationship of a handsome and charismatic boyfriend-boss and beyond beautiful girl-next-door. This is the exact same reason why some turn to Korean dramas, because there can never be too much romance, right? 7 // Fates and Furies, Laren Groff Everyone loves to expose a good secret - the secret recipe to the world's most delicious chicken soup, the secret life of politicians and celebrities, the secret to sustaining the greatest marriage ever, etc. This book has been on my 'To Read' list for quite some time, and I should really get to it soon, especially since reviewers are raving about it. 8 // Bossypants, Tina Fey This is not a new book and not my first time reading it. Tina Fey has got to be one of my favourite comedians of all time and I swear this book is so good, I'm planning to read it for the third time. If you are looking for some lighthearted reading with many bits of humour, look no further! - Now... which book should I read first? Have you read any of the above? Yay, nay, or have something better to recommend? Tell me about it! ;) x Min Sunday Stickies is a column where we reflect on the past week and pen those thoughts down on sticky pads. Expect notes to ourselves and others, advice, reminders for the week ahead, quotes, and anything random actually. After consecutive weeks of hectic and hushed working in the studio, we finally had a slow week. Don't be mistaken though, we did not plan to slow down; it was never in our schedule! However, after the continuous waves of mad rushing, events, and the blazing heat getting to us, we finally fell ill. Min was out of the office for a couple of days due to dehydration and a flu bug, while Jia was sluggishly and unproductively working on new designs with zilch inspiration. Thankfully, we got our acts together by mid week. We are still slowly regaining momentum and checking things off our to-do lists at a steady pace. April is going to be another packed month with the usual studio deadlines, events, and more excitingly, a takeover stint at our new stockist - The People's Avenue Pop-Up Store at Orchard Gateway! We are still firming up the details and will release more information via our mailing list once the dates and deets are confirmed. Do also check out our Calendar of Events page for our whereabouts. Phew, we can do this. April, we are ready for you! Min: Boo, I caught the flu bug as well as the heaty bug. My body felt weak and my brain was pretty much fried and wonky for a couple of days. It must have been dehydration or something; I was very miserable. Everyone, drink water and drink tons of it! Water is the best thing to combat bad weather changes. And sleep too. I would sleep 16 hours a day if I could. One good thing that came out of being ill is finally getting some alone time. I can't remember when was the last time I spent quality time with myself and my books. I enjoy being by myself very much but I'm also very timid. My ideal alone time includes someone else at home with me but giving me all the space I need. Work-life balance to me basically means 5 days of work and 2 days of alone time. *dreaming* Jia: If you have been following our Sunday Stickies posts for a while, you would probably be familiar with me whining about "designer's block". With the symptoms equivalent to suffering from writer's block, I found myself completely zapped out of any good artful vibes and was trapped in a creative slowdown the entire week. I am totally attributing it to the intense heat from the previous Sunday's outdoor bazaar. You know bad weather is coming when the wind blows and all you feel is a wall of hot heavy air slamming into your face.
Now that I have reached the end of the week, I am finally feeling all good after nights of chilling with friends over dinners and a super awesome Vitamin C boosting facial. The next couple of weeks will be incredibly busy, so I am really happy to have relaxed a little this week. Let me just soak in the remaining hours of Sunday bliss before the work begins again! - Round-up of March's Sunday Stickies: 6 March // 13 March // 20 March // 27 March - Are you excited for April?
