Expect notes to ourselves and others, advice, reminders for the week ahead, quotes, and anything random actually. This week whizzed by so quickly that before we were ready to fully start work, we officially reached the weekends. We were bitten by the happy bug as we were mostly preoccupied with wedding celebrations and preparations, and several back-to-back work events. When we finally got back to the studio, we realised how tired we truly were. For the entire week, Jia's eyes were tearing nonstop while Min's eyes just couldn't stop twitching. So everyone, always make it a point to repay your sleep debts. Oh, how we wish we can curl up on our couch with our kitties! In more happy and random news, we celebrated Boba and Trooper's birthday this week in the studio. So, here's wishing the kitties a lifetime of happiness, friendship and a huge supply of chicken wings! We love you kitties! <3 Min: Woah. I'm still beaming with joy and happiness though it has been a week since K+F's wedding celebrations! I am beyond thankful for the people I met over the wedding weekend and it is such a bonus that everyone got along so well. Happiness is a contagious bug, and though I'm usually a grumpy cat, I can't help but to bask in it and pass it on! While I was in a superbly good mood, my dad and I decided to bake our first loaf of bread. And we must have channelled a ton of joy into the loaf of bread because the bread turned out to be a delicious tasting loaf! Yay, we can't wait to bake more! :D Jia: It seems like the last quarter of the year always passes by too quickly. Year after year, it is always the same. Before I know it, I'll blink and be transported to a New Year's Eve party. My week went by so quickly on a work and personal level that I can hardly catch up! Despite being in a great mood, I realise that the tiredness is totally affecting my health as I ended the week with terrible sinus woes. I was sneezing non-stop from Friday all the way to Sunday which made for one drowsy yet busy weekend as I shuttled from place to place, meetings to meetings, all while neck-deep inn wedding coordination. Ah choo! I hope I'll stop sneezing soon!
- How was your week? With Love, Min+Jia.

Sunday Stickies is a column where we reflect on the past week and pen those thoughts down on sticky pads. Expect notes to ourselves and others, advice, reminders for the week ahead, quotes, and anything random actually. This week went by in a mad blur. It was essentially a Part 2 of our previous week, where we spent most of the working hours in a design frenzy and negotiations. However, added to this week's mix was serious sleep deprivation and sore leg muscles. We have been so busy completing and settling projects that we have officially revised our working hours to start at 7am! This means that we start and end work when the sky is dark. However, rather than being depressed, we find ourselves working with even more motivation and conviction than ever. It is a great feeling every time we successfully close projects and start working on new ones, leaving the past behind! On the retail front, we have mighty awesome plans for 2017 so we are getting super duper pumped! This week also saw us embarking on our pop-up event marathon as we juggled back-to-back events on top of our personal lives. We will be participating in a lot more events for the remaining months of the year, so keep your eye out on the Calendar of Events page to find out more details! Min: Oh, what a week of positive energy, happiness and great cheer! Despite my aching body and the constant battle to stay awake, I have to say that my mood is consistently good and happy all week long. I am usually a grumpy grouch so this is a huge deal for me. I have so much to thank God for this week, especially so for my mum who had just celebrated her birthday - blessed birthday mummy dearest! And to one of my childhood friends - congratulations on your sweet union and I am so happy that you guys found each other! On to some kitty cat update, Sushi-the-cat is adapting well to the tricky trials and situations I put him through daily and I thank God for sending a almost-resilient kitty our way. It has only been 4 weeks and I can't imagine a day without him. So much love for this adorable brat! For a first time cat-mom, Sushi-the-cat leaves me baffled most of the time. There is a lot of reading up and learning on my part, but with tons of love and grace, I am sure we will create some kind of magic together! <3 Jia: Yay, I am filled with so much happiness this week. Even though I am totally sleep-deprived and zombie-walking most of my days, there is a whole lotta joy and love overflowing from my heart! There are three main things that have been making me so happy that I forget the pain from my aching legs. Speaking of aching legs, thanks a lot, barre class, for moments of pure agony whenever I am climbing down stairs and the fits of laughter that follows from the ridiculousness of the situation.
Yes, back to the three main things that I am so happy and thankful for: 1) One of our best childhood friends got married! It was a wedding filled with so much love, laughter, and colour and a day so well spent with lovely people. Congrats, Mr and Mrs K! <3 2) A new group of friends that I can trust completely with secrets. And the best part of it is their unwavering support and encouragement. 3) FaceTime with the best first friend at an ungodly hour of 5am. Time difference is terrible but the two hour catch up was fun and timely! Min finally got a home tour as well, so that was... interesting? - How was your week? Sending positive vibes your way! With Love, Min+Jia. Sunday Stickies is a column where we reflect on the past week and pen those thoughts down on sticky pads. Expect notes to ourselves and others, advice, reminders for the week ahead, quotes, and anything random actually. Gosh, what a week in the studio. Now that we are firmly planted in October, the panic level in the office is high. Projects, products, and panic. As Jia remains resolutely at her desk buried deep in illustrations and design, Min spent her week navigating the often murky waters of new supplier negotiations. Finding and trusting a new supplier is always a tricky thing and more often that not, we get it right. Well, not this week. Right smack in the middle of our studio now are boxes and boxes of papers and envelopes. The boxes are just chilling there because… they got our order wrong. Sigh! Here’s to tying up our resolution in a nice big bow! Min: I have never made a scrapbook before. It shouldn’t be a difficult task since it’s all about layering different papers, pictures and overlaying the papers with more embellishments and stickers, right? Well, that was what I thought. So scrapbooking turns out to be a really tedious process and it’s not something I am jolly good at but Jia and I definitely winged it. We gave it to one of our best friends, who will be getting married in a weeks’ time and she absolutely loved it! Even though my body is aching from the barre class we had together, my heart is still swelling with love and happiness as we spent a girly day out with her. We have been friends since we kids and to know that she has found her true love and will soon be married to her best friend, makes me overly joyous and excited. I can’t wait for the wedding ceremony, where Jia and I will be decked out in Punjabi suits. Ah, can’t wait, can’t wait! Jia: If there was a scale of 1-10 with 1 being devoid of sentiments and 10 being overwhelmingly sentimental, I think I would be a 3. I have no qualms throwing away old letters, tickets, and other keepsakes in the name of spring-cleaning, which is the reason why I have never done a scrapbook in my entire life. So, imagine my surprise when Min and I managed to produce a pretty decent scrapbook as a gift for one of our dearest friend’s hen’s night, and she loved it!
T’was a great heartwarming yet hilarious night of girly bonding, funny and ballsy dares featuring many sporting guys and Backstreet Boys, and hours of reminiscing our good times with the bride-to-be. And now, we head towards the Chinese-Indian wedding of the year! Can’t wait for the upcoming Sunday! - Do you have any good tips and tricks to scrapbooking? With Love, Min+Jia. Sunday Stickies is a column where we reflect on the past week and pen those thoughts down on sticky pads. Expect notes to ourselves and others, advice, reminders for the week ahead, quotes, and anything random actually. It is celebration week! There was so much happy vibes in the office, all day, all week long. We can’t help it, we really love celebrations! With the numerous impending wedding celebrations and a relatively slower week in the office, the both of us were on a serious mission to hunt for the right pair of high heels. We combed the streets of Orchard Road but neither one of us found a pair that matched our outfits! Who knew that hunting for the right pair can be so tough? We ended up picking something from our personal collection for the weddings this weekend. But… the hunt continues. The week started off with a surprise birthday party at Fish & Co and coincidentally, it was the Glasshouse’s last day of operation. We can safely say that most of us have accumulated plenty of good and happy memories at the Glasshouse over the years. It makes us sad to think that we have one less option to choose from now. Our weekend was spent celebrating the joyous union of two couples. Weddings tend to leave Min all teary-eyed and Jia feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Don’t you just love weddings too? :) Min: I can’t remember when was the last time I was so hooked on a Korean drama. When Jia first told me about W, the latest K-drama, I was definitely skeptical. Sci-fi is not my favourite genre but somehow, I always end up getting extremely addicted to it. So asides from the birthday and wedding celebrations, I spent most of my week nights glued to the show. And because every episode had to end with a cliffhanger, I was dying to watch the next one. After a couple of days, I found it extremely tough to detach from the reel world. Tons of work and deadlines were piling up, yet I couldn't help but to talk to Jia about the motives and intentions of each character. Urgh, I am so terrible! I am currently at the denial stage - the stage where I refuse to finish the book/show in fear of saying goodbye to a storyline I like so much. Sigh, life can be so complex sometimes. Jia: Anddddd, we are in! Wedding season has really arrived. In fact, I just returned from a wedding banquet - it is Sunday night now - and was at another wedding the whole of yesterday. Besides from attending official wedding ceremonies this week, I was also busy with TWO different wedding briefings and a ton of WhatsApp group chats on various aspects of the weddings. Just look at the number of times I have mentioned the word ’wedding’ above!
To top it off, I have been sick since last Sunday so all the parties and festivities have gone by in a hazy blur. No slowing down though as I enter another week of looming deadlines at work and more wedding parties and duties! Phew, ready or not, here I come. - Round-up of September's Sunday Stickies Posts: 4 September // 11 September // 18 September // 25 September - With Love, Min+Jia. Sunday Stickies is a column where we reflect on the past week and pen those thoughts down on sticky pads. Expect notes to ourselves and others, advice, reminders for the week ahead, quotes, and anything random actually. Phew! It is the end of another busy 7-day work week at the honey&gazelle Design Studio. We just wrapped up and packed up our pop-up booth at the Public Garden Consumer Trade Show with a bundle of mixed feelings. We are super tired with aching body parts - the signs of getting old is real, seriously - but our hearts are filled with gratitude and happiness. Thank you to all our faithful customers who came by to say hi and to all the new friends we have made! Pop-up events are really draining in nature and to be honest, there have been times when we dreaded setting up our booth because of all the logistics and scheduling nightmares paired with uncertain weather conditions. However, we are always rejuvenated mentally and filled with gratefulness whenever we wrap up an event. The amount of love and encouragement shown to us at these pop-up events have been immense and heartening. So, thank you again from the very depths of our hearts for all your support! Min: Zomg, September is coming to an end already! I have been procrastinating far too much and I can't believe I actually have less than 80 days to get my act together! Most brides that I know of have started their beauty, exercise and diet regime about a year before their wedding date. And I have barely started anything. I am constantly dreaming of eating the next packet of fries and chips and putting off any bit of exercise plans whenever I get the chance. This is extremely unbecoming of me! Though most friends shared that I will eventually get all stressed up about the wedding and start losing weight, I highly doubt that it's true. Stress = binge on fries! It's only normal, right? I seriously don't want to end up as a roly-poly bride so please encourage me with a carrot or celery stick when you see me! Jia: Eeps, it is going to be October soon and that means I would have officially entered WEDDING SEASON. I have more than a handful of weddings to help in and attend between October and December, which means that I need to get my shoe shopping on. I have a designated pair of sky-high nude heels that I tend to wear for all weddings but after a good run of four or five years, they are starting to give way. I get overly attached to my belongings so I am feeling the wave of nostalgia and sadness as I prepare to say a final goodbye to that particular pair of heels. I know, it's so dramatic, but there are so many good memories associated with the heels! Sigh, oh well, it is time to hit the shops and find my next pair of heels to tide me through many more weddings!
