Sunday Stickies is a column where we reflect on the past week and pen those thoughts down on sticky pads. Expect notes to ourselves and others, advice, reminders for the week ahead, quotes, and anything random actually. This has been one hectic week but we overcame it anyway. Hooray! Besides the occasional hungry/lonely meows from the 3 resident cats, our studio was relatively quiet as we worked doubly hard to meet deadlines and check off our long list of things to do. All week long, Jia had her creative goggles on while she buried herself deep in the design zone; clearing one commissioned work after another at the speed of lightning. At the other end of the office, Min was furiously punching numbers on the calculator and numerous Excel sheets while frowning disapprovingly at the pile of accounts backlog that was stashed at the back of her 'in' pile. And we were in absolute disbelief that there were no good deals at all this week! Everyone loves a good deal and it's so disappointing to receive none! A little perk-me-up deal would have made our week a little better. Thankfully, the week ended well as we spent three good nights at the Chijmes event with our vendor friends. We love our vendor friends and we are so blessed to have met the nicest, kindest and warmest people. <3 <3 <3 Min: Have you ever experienced a strange moment in life where you know you have so much to do but you clearly have no idea what you need to do? With the wedding date drawing so near, I realised that I have been spacing out a bit too much even though I have tons to check off my list. I find it strange that I don't have any significant task for anyone when they ask me to delegate a role to them. Oh dear me, have I subconsciously turned into a passive-aggressive-controlling-Bridezilla? Perhaps I space out too much because I have no answers to a lot of questions that have been directed at me of late: What's your wedding diet? You shouldn't be eating this donut/chicken wing/french fries/monster curry XXL rice/hamburger right? Aren't you gonna work out? Why are you not inviting XX and YY to your wedding? Can I bring my entire family, their extended family members and their pets to your small and cosy wedding? Where are you gonna put your 'tree like thingy'? Should we swop red velvet cakes for mango pudding? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! #meltdown Jia: I have been so swamped with work recently that my work-life balance is appalling. I am awake for way too many hours in the day and when I finally get to bed, the sleep isn't restful. I have just 4 weeks to complete all that I need to do (including planning and coordinating Min's wedding) before I jet off to South Korea with my family. I have too little time! I am not one who exhibits obvious stress signals but I think I'm in it. I'm in my high stressed zone. Sigh! Let's hope I get through the next week victoriously!
- Has this week been kind to you? With Love, Min+Jia.

We are deep within the thick of wedding season and everything in our heads right now revolves around weddings. Though we often dream of Christmas, we can't deny the strong allure of anything and everything related to weddings. Many of our friends are either currently planning their wedding or have recently tied the knot. So it was pretty inevitable that we have caught the joyous wedding bug! We have been a part of several wedding planning and styling projects this year and it makes us so happy to sail in the sea of wedding dreams. Bridal bouquets are our focus this month on our Pinterest account. We have been searching high and low for that one bouquet that Min will eventually fall in love with. We have less than 50 days to her wedding! After browsing through many Pinterest pictures, we finally decided that we will customise a bouquet that will match her wedding theme. These bouquets that we found on Pinterest are drop dead gorgeous and are suitable for many different themed weddings! Oh how we wish for a wider array of flower selection in Singapore! Min's Favourite Pins Dusty Rustic Bouquet I love the pairing of dusty-coloured wild flowers and muted green leaves in this hand bouquet. In all honesty, I haven't once considered adding such a huge selection of wild flowers in my bouquet because I naturally gravitate towards a clean and classic look/colour palette for every single thing. However, I was sold the moment I saw this bouquet as everything seemed to work together so effortlessly despite not having an accent bloom. Hello, wildflowers and tiny blooms, I'm your new fan! Succulent Bouquet Succulent bouquets are quickly gaining popularity among Singaporean brides and it's easy to see why. Most bridal bouquets consists of the usual flower choices, thus replacing the focal flowers with succulents seem like a smart thing to do. Succulents add a unique twist to a conventional-looking hand bouquet without ever over-dramatising the entire vibe of the bouquet. I'm a huge fan of greens and this bouquet has all my votes! Single Flower Bouquet My idea of a classic bouquet is one that is slick and clean looking, preferably accentuated with a big bloom and surrounded by a single type of dark green leaves. It was love at first sight that rendered me speechless when I saw this Magnolia bouquet. In my opinion, this bouquet is the epitome of class and all sorts of gorgeousness. If I could source for affordable Magnolia blooms and leaves in Singapore, I would definitely feature a single flower bouquet at my wedding in a heartbeat. Jia's Favourite Pins: White Tulip Bouquet Bridal bouquets tend to be really big and cascading these days. While they look magnificent and beautiful, I find them to be a little bit overwhelming at times. I love a clean and chic bouquet of white tulips. It has been one of my dream bouquets for any occasion since I was a little girl. On the wedding front, a white tulip bouquet will most definitely match with any gown and oh, they just look so gorgeous! Red Bouquet A stunning and dramatic take on the statement bouquet trend. In a nutshell, I tend to steer towards a classic bouquet and would recommend brides to do so likewise. It’s always nice to look back at wedding photos that do not look dated! I absolutely adore this red bouquet that features proteas, birds of paradise, tulips, and peonies. It would look wonderful with a red lip as well! Red is a timeless colour for weddings and this bouquet is a scarlet stunner. Wildflower Bouquet
If solid colours ain’t your thing, I would totally recommend a wildflower bouquet! Simply perfect for a bohemian-themed wedding, a wildflower bouquet is all about the effortless love and appreciation for the pretty little things all around us. A wildflower bouquet is easy to DIY too! Just select a handful of your favourite blooms and experiment with shape, texture, height, and colour. Ah, this is such a dream bouquet; it is so fun and spontaneous! - Do you have a 'dream bouquet'? Tell us about it! With Love, Min+Jia. Expect notes to ourselves and others, advice, reminders for the week ahead, quotes, and anything random actually. This week whizzed by so quickly that before we were ready to fully start work, we officially reached the weekends. We were bitten by the happy bug as we were mostly preoccupied with wedding celebrations and preparations, and several back-to-back work events. When we finally got back to the studio, we realised how tired we truly were. For the entire week, Jia's eyes were tearing nonstop while Min's eyes just couldn't stop twitching. So everyone, always make it a point to repay your sleep debts. Oh, how we wish we can curl up on our couch with our kitties! In more happy and random news, we celebrated Boba and Trooper's birthday this week in the studio. So, here's wishing the kitties a lifetime of happiness, friendship and a huge supply of chicken wings! We love you kitties! <3 Min: Woah. I'm still beaming with joy and happiness though it has been a week since K+F's wedding celebrations! I am beyond thankful for the people I met over the wedding weekend and it is such a bonus that everyone got along so well. Happiness is a contagious bug, and though I'm usually a grumpy cat, I can't help but to bask in it and pass it on! While I was in a superbly good mood, my dad and I decided to bake our first loaf of bread. And we must have channelled a ton of joy into the loaf of bread because the bread turned out to be a delicious tasting loaf! Yay, we can't wait to bake more! :D Jia: It seems like the last quarter of the year always passes by too quickly. Year after year, it is always the same. Before I know it, I'll blink and be transported to a New Year's Eve party. My week went by so quickly on a work and personal level that I can hardly catch up! Despite being in a great mood, I realise that the tiredness is totally affecting my health as I ended the week with terrible sinus woes. I was sneezing non-stop from Friday all the way to Sunday which made for one drowsy yet busy weekend as I shuttled from place to place, meetings to meetings, all while neck-deep inn wedding coordination. Ah choo! I hope I'll stop sneezing soon!
- How was your week? With Love, Min+Jia. And, our printable reminder cards make a comeback! We can't believe that it has been more than a year since we designed new printable reminder cards, As these little cards are one of our more popular freebies, we thought it was about time to bring out a fresh style as a treat to all our customers and readers. Reminder cards are meant to be used liberally as nifty small reminders to yourself. The reminder cards are compact in size so that you can stash them around in areas and places that you will definitely notice. We suggest slipping them into the clear slots of wallets/card holders, between pages of your daily schedule books, and in the key compartments of your bags. All you need to do in order to start using the reminder cards is to print a sheet out and cut along the dotted lines. Following that, just pen down your utmost important tasks that you really need to remember to accomplish and keep these reminder cards anywhere you tend to look at all the time! We recommend using paper with heavier weight if you are not intending to switch out the reminders. If not, normal printing paper will do just fine as new must-dos will take its place everyday. The size of the printable is an A4 sheet with 6 reminder cards laid out. To download, simply click on the preview image below or go to the Downloads section where you can find all the freebies available on our website! -
Do you use notes as a way to stay organised? <3 Jia Sunday Stickies is a column where we reflect on the past week and pen those thoughts down on sticky pads. Expect notes to ourselves and others, advice, reminders for the week ahead, quotes, and anything random actually. This week went by in a mad blur. It was essentially a Part 2 of our previous week, where we spent most of the working hours in a design frenzy and negotiations. However, added to this week's mix was serious sleep deprivation and sore leg muscles. We have been so busy completing and settling projects that we have officially revised our working hours to start at 7am! This means that we start and end work when the sky is dark. However, rather than being depressed, we find ourselves working with even more motivation and conviction than ever. It is a great feeling every time we successfully close projects and start working on new ones, leaving the past behind! On the retail front, we have mighty awesome plans for 2017 so we are getting super duper pumped! This week also saw us embarking on our pop-up event marathon as we juggled back-to-back events on top of our personal lives. We will be participating in a lot more events for the remaining months of the year, so keep your eye out on the Calendar of Events page to find out more details! Min: Oh, what a week of positive energy, happiness and great cheer! Despite my aching body and the constant battle to stay awake, I have to say that my mood is consistently good and happy all week long. I am usually a grumpy grouch so this is a huge deal for me. I have so much to thank God for this week, especially so for my mum who had just celebrated her birthday - blessed birthday mummy dearest! And to one of my childhood friends - congratulations on your sweet union and I am so happy that you guys found each other! On to some kitty cat update, Sushi-the-cat is adapting well to the tricky trials and situations I put him through daily and I thank God for sending a almost-resilient kitty our way. It has only been 4 weeks and I can't imagine a day without him. So much love for this adorable brat! For a first time cat-mom, Sushi-the-cat leaves me baffled most of the time. There is a lot of reading up and learning on my part, but with tons of love and grace, I am sure we will create some kind of magic together! <3 Jia: Yay, I am filled with so much happiness this week. Even though I am totally sleep-deprived and zombie-walking most of my days, there is a whole lotta joy and love overflowing from my heart! There are three main things that have been making me so happy that I forget the pain from my aching legs. Speaking of aching legs, thanks a lot, barre class, for moments of pure agony whenever I am climbing down stairs and the fits of laughter that follows from the ridiculousness of the situation.
Yes, back to the three main things that I am so happy and thankful for: 1) One of our best childhood friends got married! It was a wedding filled with so much love, laughter, and colour and a day so well spent with lovely people. Congrats, Mr and Mrs K! <3 2) A new group of friends that I can trust completely with secrets. And the best part of it is their unwavering support and encouragement. 3) FaceTime with the best first friend at an ungodly hour of 5am. Time difference is terrible but the two hour catch up was fun and timely! Min finally got a home tour as well, so that was... interesting? - How was your week? Sending positive vibes your way!
