Planning a wedding makes me dizzy with excitement. In February, I bought my dream gown that will be kept a secret because the 'first look' matters so much to me. And because of that, we will not be able to have a pre-wedding photoshoot with my wedding gown. *celebrates!* In all honesty, I am not a fan of photoshoots. I am absolutely terrible in front of the camera and the camera certainly does not love me. I cannot imagine myself standing on top of rocks, decked out in full bridal gear and looking out to the horizons... But, what is a wedding without photographs? Eventually, my fiancé and I compromised and agreed on a casual low-key engagement photoshoot. And that means I get to shop for new white dresses that will suit our 'casual and low-key' theme! The dresses that I have curated below are sooooooo beautiful, I am having a hard time deciding which to get... 1 // Sarah Seven (2016) Lourdes What I love about this piece from the Sarah Seven's 2016 bridal collection is its plunging neckline and soft flowing skirt. It is absolutely perfect for a beach photoshoot/wedding. Imagine the skirt flowing ever so gently against the breeze. This design is simple and chic, yet deceivingly flirty. Love it! 2 // Nasty Gal Spill the Tea Lace Dress How cute is this dress! This Nasty Gal white lace dress spells fun with its pom pom fringe and sheer micromesh throughout the dress. It has such a flattering a-line cut that it will suit almost any body type. Say yes to this dress! 3 // Jarlo Juliet Midi Prom Dress In Sateen With Mesh Inserts I fell for this dress simply because of how dainty and classy it looks. Although I am not a huge fan of mesh, I love how the mesh at the side adds a little fun and peek-a-boo to the overall look. This dress also features a sexy v-neckline at the front and back. 4 // Ms Selfridge White Mixed Lace Dress I like this dress for its versatility and would pair it with a leather jacket for a girls night out. The different types of lace sure adds to the charm of this dress. 5 // Zimmermann Belle Bustier Dress
I chanced upon this dress on Anthropologie's website and it was love at first sight. The breezy and flowy fabric paired with dainty prints and asymmetrical hemline makes it such a perfect dress for a garden party or picnic. Love how dreamy it is! 6 // C/MEO Collective Making Waves Dress The Making Waves Dress is a modern design that exudes elegance and simplicity. I especially like how the full skirt, curved hemline, and heavy-weight textured fabric adds a touch of fun and girliness to the look. 7 // Lipsy Rare Mesh Plunge Dress This plunging neckline and sheer flowy dress is such a daring yet classic sleek look. I can imagine this dress on a bride who is standing in the heart of a cosmopolitan city, staring intently into the eyes of her lover. What a show-stopping dress! 8 // BHLDN Soren Dress BHLDN is Anthropologie's wedding line and it means 'beholden' (minus the vowels) and the Dutch meaning of it is 'to keep'. This dress has such a subtle feminine and free spirited charm that is really reflective of the brand. I will definitely choose this dress if I were to have a woodland-themed photoshoot. Hmmm... What do you think? That's not the end! I just had to feature one more dress... This Chi Chi London Premium Lace Midi Dress (featured in the header image) is such a romantic choice with its gorgeous back details. - Do you have a favourite or do you have more beautiful white dresses to share?
