Sunday Stickies is a column where we reflect on the past week and pen those thoughts down on sticky pads. Expect notes to ourselves and others, advice, reminders for the week ahead, quotes, and anything random actually.
Phew, it has been a really tiring week in the studio. We are actually typing this out at 1.26am on Sunday morning. We were just done with our first day at the General Weekends at Singaplural, and were about to crash and call it a night when we forgot that we have not done our Sunday Stickies! So here we are, reflecting and sharing our thoughts half asleep. Haha!
Hello to all the new friends we made, and thank you guys for your support! It was a really humid day and with 99 Beach Road (the event venue) being rather out of the way, we are very thankful and appreciative of the warm response! Heh, pun intended.
We are looking forward to tomorrow! As it is the last day of Singaplural, we are hoping to squeeze in some time to browse through the various exhibitions and installations at the event. If you have nothing to do tomorrow, do come down and check out the site. There is really cool art on display and it is definitely a unique way to spend your Sunday afternoon (:
Min: Severe mood swings and extremely irritable. This was my week in a nutshell. Oh, and also the fact that I had a lot of avocados to eat this week. I love avocados and how it makes breakfast and lunch so yummy. So, that was a nice green highlight of my week!
After a hiatus, we are finally back at art markets. I have got to admit my love-hate relationship with outdoor events. I dislike the heat and humidity intensely, but it is the same heat and humidity that drives Jia and I crazy. Not the bad kind of crazy, but the crazy crazy kind of happy. We laugh at our own jokes and we can't stop giving each other high fives and applauses. Laughter is definitely the solution and the cure to any horrid situation!
Jia: I have been so joyful this week despite the rush of prepping for events and work. There were some hiccups during the week, but things were thankfully resolved quickly and awesomely. It always feels nice to be on the receiving end of great and efficient service. In return, I hope that honey&gazelle Design Studio will always be a provider of warm and great service as well. Pay it forward?
I guess my joyful spirit this week can be attributed to the fact that I have been counting my blessings and feeling just so thankful to the many good people in my life. In some way or another, everyone has been really kind and supportive, and it sincerely warms my heart. I should probably start writing down happy thoughts every day to keep this joyfulness in me alive and burning!
Tell us three good things that happened to you this week!
With Love, Min+Jia.
